LIC AGENT ELIGIBILITY

A Indian citizen who is above 18 years old, has passed class 10th can apply to become a LIC agent.

Applicants are required to appear for a exam which is entirely multiple choice questions. There are 50 questions and the applicant has to answer just 17 question correctly to pass the exam. All applicants are required to undergo a training program designed by the IRDA. The raining is for 25 hours for online classes. The LIC officer who will get you the agency form will connect you with the training center. 

There is separate fees for the training. A training certificate is provided on successful completion of training and that certificate is to be attached with your LIC agency recruitment form. 

LIC Agent Exam

A person has to appear for a IRDA exam to get license of a LIC agent. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and to pass 17 marks have to be scored. There is no negative marking.

The exam is very basic one. Just covers the basics of insurance. Usually the questions are repeated in the exam. The questions would revolve around the history of life insurance in India, the rules for complaint logging, best practices to e followed by LIC agents while selling insurance.
